The BBQ was attended by 36 foster carers and children in a gated field across the road from the new Top Barn office on Wednesday 18th July. While the children and carers were getting stuck in with the activities around the grounds, Granville was carrying out the annual duties of firing up the BBQ.
As the families arrived they were greeted and either introduced to other people or shown the different activities. There was a fantastic variety of activities available for all ages, including the return of our resident face-painter, a supervised inflatable golf pitch-and-putt, an interactive play system table, a human Snakes and Ladders game, space hoppers, giant Jenga and other garden games.
Once again Granville did a brilliant job at the BBQ, serving up an endless supply of sausages, homemade burgers, chicken drumsticks, vegetarian/vegan substitutes, pasta salads, buns, sauces and more.
It was a great day for a BBQ with the sun shining all afternoon. Thank you to everyone who worked hard to make this day so special and to those that came and made new memories with us. New relationships and friendships were formed, highlighting the family feel ethos that we are so proud of here at Family Fostercare. We can’t wait for next year!
